NAR Advocacy Week

During NAR Advocacy Week, held January 21 — 23, 2026, in Washington, DC, Harrison Beacher, 2026 DCAR President, participated in the panel “Dreams Delayed: The Long, Winding Road to a First Home.” The discussion examined why homeownership is happening later than ever and how policy, access, and affordability impact first-time buyers and long-term wealth building. Harrison joined national housing and policy leaders to highlight the critical role advocacy plays in expanding homeownership opportunities.

“Homeownership is still one of the most powerful tools for long-term wealth building. When first-time buyers are delayed, the ripple effects show up across families, communities, and the broader economy. That’s why policy and advocacy matter.” — Harrison Beacher
